Our capacity for change is closely related to our ability to see things differently. Sometimes we need a little help to shake up our perspective. We can end up denying certain parts of ourselves, over-identifying with others, and losing a sense of who we are at the core. Trying to make decisions from this place of feeling disconnected or lost can be stifling. If you feel trapped in old habits, patterns, and painful emotions, I would love to support you in taking a bold leap towards a new way of living.

Hi there, I’m Kathleen
I’m a holistic and biracial therapist offering individual therapy virtually to adults (18+) anywhere in Colorado. I specialize in working with people seeking relief from anxiety, depression, attachment wounds and trauma, chronic stress, and life transitions, and those interested in identity exploration and relational healing.
It can be truly challenging to come down from our heads and into our hearts. To step out of doing and into being. Therapy is an invitation to know, heal, and grow ourselves. I founded Nagomi Counseling in order to honor how I best practice, providing clients with the authentic, individualized, and quality care they deserve.
It is my wholehearted mission to build genuine relationships with my clients and provide a safe and reliable space for them to share their story, experience relief, and feel both seen and supportively challenged.
Who I work with
I care about every person who walks through my door with respect for who they are and what brings them into therapy. I have a passion for working with people who struggle with self-worth despite a lifetime of pushing themselves and living under relentless pressure that desperately needs to be released. They may have some awareness of how, when, and where these old patterns formed, but still feel in the throes of it right now in adulthood. The search for peace, safety, and acceptance persists, and beneath it is a history of deep emotional wounding that needs to be tended to.
What fears or narratives are keeping you from being yourself? We can deconstruct the myths about how or who you “ought” to be in order to have a place in this world, and explore more authentic and whole ways of living.

CONSULTATION
Schedule a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation where you can ask questions and share your hopes and goals for therapy.

ONBOARDING
If you are ready to move forward, I will send you initial paperwork through my client portal to complete before your first session.

FIRST SESSION
You show up, just as you are, as I warmly welcome and guide you through our first session where we begin to design your healing journey together. (We will meet via a HIPAA-secure telehealth platform.)

ONGOING SUPPORT
I typically meet with clients weekly for the first month to lay our foundation. However, we can decide on the frequency that fits your needs best.
